The Position
Summary
In your role as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and will be pivotal in ensuring that hameln pharma meets regulatory standards, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and sustainability across all our operations world-wide. Your engagement will help us maintain strong, trust-based relationships with our stakeholders, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to ethical business practices and social responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- In close collaboration with other departments, ensuring that all hameln pharma’s international operations comply with relevant laws, regulations and requirements related to CSR (e.g. CSRD) and ethical standards.
- Producing and updating CSR policies to align with the above and with hameln pharma’s values and objectives.
- Conducting annual carbon footprint calculations for all hameln pharma entities, implementing programs aimed at reducing environmental impact and monitoring the progress of CSR initiatives and assessing their impact.
- Creating detailed CSR reports to communicate hameln pharma’s efforts and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participating in environmental and social audits.
- Responding to enquiries from business partners in relation to hameln pharma’s CSR activities.
- Educating staff about the importance of CSR and hameln pharma’s obligations.
- Collaborating with government bodies, suppliers, customers and other organisations to enhance hameln pharma’s CSR efforts.
- Handling any CSR related issues that may arise, such as environmental incidents or unethical practices.
- Allocating and managing the budget for CSR activities.
Your profile
Experience
- Previous role(s): minimum of three to five years’ experience in a similar CSR role or in roles involving CSR related activities, preferably in the pharma industry.
- International exposure: experience in working on CSR topics in different countries.
- Project management and program development: experience in project management with the ability to design, manage and successfully complete CSR programs and initiatives.
- Stakeholder engagement: experience in building and maintaining relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Compliance and reporting: hands-on experience in ensuring regulatory compliance and preparing detailed CSR reports.
- Research and analysis: ability to conduct research and analyse data to assess the impact of CSR initiatives and identify areas of improvement.

- Fluency in English: proficient in both spoken and written English; knowledge of German is preferable.
- Proficiency in MS office applications: skilled in using all Microsoft Office tools to enhance productivity.
- Willingness to travel: possess a valid driver’s license and open to travel.
Qualifications
- An ideal candidate for this role should possess a degree in fields such as Business Administration, Environmental Science, Sustainability Studies, or Economics.
